Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will craft intuitive user experiences to create the best language learning product suite available. You will collaborate closely with team members and users to build enjoyable and intuitive solutions. This position requires experience designing for both mobile and desktop apps, websites, and ideally, cross-platform features. You will need to quickly become an expert in our platform—understanding the ins and outs of every feature—while balancing user needs and technical constraints. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for language learning.

Annual salary: 70,000 - 120,000 USD
Responsibilities
- Take ownership over the entire user experience
- Identify feature requirements and design from concept to handover
- Create pixel perfect designs that are enticing, intuitive, and in line with the brand identity
- Design with the user journey in mind across different user touch points (including onboarding, user guides, feedback channels)
- Become a product expert to help build the most useful features possible
- Work and communicate in a swift and practical manner in this fast-paced startup environment
- Work closely with our users and other team members to inform design decisions
- Review and test developed features for quality assurance
- Maintain and utilize the existing design system and UI components to ensure consistency across products
Qualifications
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a UI/UX design role
- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual and UX/UI design
- Proficiency in using Figma and its component library capabilities
- Expertise in developing creative design solutions for both responsive web and mobile platforms
- Knowledge of web design trends and standards, as well as iOS & Android design conventions
- Experience learning a second language
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the EdTech or language learning industry
- Experience learning a third language or more
- Knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS) and native app (Android/iOS) principles to bridge the gap between design and development
